My blog

Hi, my name is Anthony Thomas and I am the founder and principal diversity management consultant here at Jycey. I am a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and will be soon completing a PhD in diversity management and leadership. My knowledge and experience in diversity management allows guidance to be as accurate and current as possible. I currently support organisations on all business levels, in all sectors, in a variety of industries to support with their diversity management needs. Jycey’s accolades are continuously evolving.

Organisations are feeling the impact of diversity both inside and outside of their operations. We only have to watch the news to see the significance societal events have, and these can consequently impact employees and the organisations they are a part of. Diversity can impact organisations both positively and negatively, and sometimes requires specialist management support. We are here to help.

Why are we called Jycey?

Jycey is considerate, brave, and bold. Open minded, truthful, and extremely critical. My grandmother came over to the UK from Jamaica in the 1960s and faced adversity for a better life for both herself and her family. Jycey is what I have heard family members and close friends call my grandmother from as far back as I can remember. Whenever you say Jycey, you are saying ‘Joycey’ in patois (a Jamaican accent). Jycey is named after my grandmother – Joyce. If it wasn’t for my grandmother’s journey, I wouldn’t be here today to help others on their journeys, and potentially, you, on yours.
